Kind Hearts: A Service for Seniors
My name is Kim Matson (Robertson), and I created Kind Hearts in 2010 because caregiving is my passion and I truly enjoy helping seniors. I am fortunate that my dear mother was a precious soul who taught me to be empathic and kind. I love my work.
Many seniors have spent their lives helping others but now find they need help themselves. This can be very difficult to accept, especially in this fast changing world. Staying in one's own home is often important because it means maintaining independence and dignity. An unwanted move to an assisted living facility can affect health and overall happiness. When a move is necessary due to medical or social concerns, supplementing facility care can make a positive difference.
I am a certified Personal Support Worker (PSW), and have more than 25 years of experience caring for seniors. I continually upgrade my skills with a special focus on age related cognitive decline. I consider it a privilege to help families care for their aging parents and relatives, and I do so with full respect.

Kind Hearts is a registered and fully insured business. While I personally assist most families, there are times when other helpers may be required to accommodate schedules or needs. Rest assured that all caregivers are fully qualified and trained using a thorough interview and screening process which includes police records and driver abstract checks. Our company name was chosen to emphasize that caregiving is more than simply a job. Anyone can learn a skill and perform a task, but it takes a special type of person, with a kind heart, to genuinely enjoy helping others. Our valued staff are hand selected with this philosophy in mind. All of our helpers are kind hearts.
